Five rounds. One Cradle.

Four nights at The Manor. Five rounds across the Cradle of American Golf: Tom Doak’s No. 10 to open, No. 11 and The Cradle on Friday, No. 2 on Saturday, and No. 4 on Sunday morning before heading home. A welcome reception on Wednesday and a private dinner on the final night frame the golf.

FOUR NIGHTS · FIVE ROUNDS · BY INVITATION
PINEHURST

The Cradle of American golf.

Donald Ross arrived in the Carolina Sandhills in 1900, and Pinehurst has been central to the American game ever since. No. 2 has hosted four U.S. Opens, most recently in 2024, along with the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open in the week that followed the men’s. As the USGA’s anchor site, it hosts the U.S. Open again in 2029. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw restored it to Ross’s sandy, scrubby original character in 2011.

The Sandhills keep growing. Tom Doak’s No. 10 opened in 2024 on the old Sandmines site south of the village, Pinehurst’s first new 18-hole course in nearly three decades. Next door, Coore and Crenshaw have built a course entirely their own: No. 11, which opens in spring 2027. This Pursuit plays both, along with No. 2, Gil Hanse’s No. 4 and The Cradle.

Golf has been coming home to Pinehurst since 1900. In 2029, the U.S. Open does too.
ACCOMMODATIONS · THE MANOR

The Manor

Throughout the Pursuit, the group stays at The Manor, Pinehurst’s intimate inn in the heart of the village. Breakfast is included each morning, and the stay opens and closes with private dinners and a premium bar. Double-bag caddies accompany the group on all four 18-hole rounds. The resort fee covers transportation across the property and gratuities for included meals and resort staff. It also gives access to bicycles and watercraft, tennis and pickleball, Wellness Wave spa sessions, and evenings on the Thistle Dhu putting course.

THE GOLF

Five Courses. Five Numbers.

Five rounds, opening at the Sandmines on Pinehurst’s two newest courses before building toward Donald Ross’s No. 2 on Saturday.

Round One

No. 10

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 21 · 9:00 – 9:48 AM

Tom Doak’s 2024 design opens the golf. It was Pinehurst’s first new 18 in nearly three decades, routed through the dramatic elevation of the old Sandmines site south of the village. Walking only

Round Two

No. 11

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22 · 9:00 – 9:48 AM

Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw’s first original design at Pinehurst, in its opening season. The team that restored No. 2 to its Ross roots started from scratch here, routing holes over and between the choppy ridges and mounds left by decades of sand mining. Coore says the ground reminds him of Ireland or Scotland.

Round Three

The Cradle

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22 · 5:20 – 6:00 PM

A short, playful finish to Friday. Gil Hanse's nine-hole par-3 course, built on the site of an old green from Ross's No. 3, widely regarded as the most fun ten acres in golf.

Round Four

No. 2

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 · THE MAIN EVENT · 9:20 – 10:00 AM, 1ST TEE

The main event. Donald Ross’s design has hosted four U.S. Opens, most recently in 2024, and returns to the championship in 2029. Coore and Crenshaw’s restoration brought back the sandy waste areas, wiregrass and crowned greens that Ross intended. The greens are the reason the course is famous and the reason it’s so hard.

Round Five

No. 4

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24 · 8:00 – 8:40 AM

A final round on Sunday morning. Originally a Ross design, it was reworked by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner in 2018 into one of the boldest tests on property, and it’s a fitting close before the trip home.
