Two Rounds. Two Million Acres.

A summer escape to Montana’s far northwest.

Three nights at the Wilderness Club, seven miles south of the Canadian border, with the Kootenai National Forest on every side. Two rounds on Sir Nick Faldo’s course, three private cottages for the group, and long July days on the lake, the trails and the porch between them.

THE WILDERNESS CLUB

The Most Remote Course on the List

Golf Digest calls the Wilderness Club the most remote course on its ranking of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses, where it sits at No. 57. Sir Nick Faldo’s design opened in 2009 across 550 acres in the far northwest corner of Montana, routed through streams, lakes and ponderosa pine, with the Yaak Mountains, the Whitefish Range and the Canadian Rockies on the horizon.

Beyond the course, 2.2 million acres of national forest begin at the property line. The club’s 21-acre Wilderness Lake is kept free of motorboats for paddling and swimming, and Lake Koocanusa, Whitefish Mountain and Glacier National Park are all within reach for those who want more of Big Sky Country.

Seven miles from Canada, two million acres of forest, and one of the best-kept secrets in American public golf.
ACCOMMODATIONS · THE WILDERNESS CLUB

Three Cottages, Twelve Suites

Throughout the Pursuit, the group stays in three of the club’s private cottages, twelve suites in all. Each cottage has four suites with two queen beds, set around a large, fully equipped commons area at its center, and every suite has its own entrance, so mornings can be private and evenings shared.

Twelve suites, three cottages, and a commons at the center of each.
THE GOLF

July in northwest Montana means long evenings and open days.
